I knew I could handle the learning because I could work at my own pace.
Since I started the course, I’ve become more confident in myself. Knowing I could handle this challenge has given me a lot of motivation to push through. I’m gaining qualifications I’ll be able to use in many jobs and can open doors to further learning. I’ve rediscovered the enjoyment I used to have, learning new things and gaining new qualifications. Sometimes, it starts with a small challenge of just starting, and in time, small efforts turn into a diploma.
I’ve always found everyone very helpful; the girls are always a great support system and are able to make things work around everything that happens in life, scheduling exams and rescheduling them, they’re always on hand to make things work. The centre is a great place to study when you want to come in and put in the time with no distractions to pull you away from the computer.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful and there’s no need to be intimidated or nervous about anything, they provide all the support needed and are all highly professional. Yes, the course is challenging, but I’ve proven to myself I can do it. The further into it I get, the more confidence and skills I gain along the way. You’re also learning new things, so of course, it’s going to be difficult at times, but realising you’ve learned something you never thought you could is a fantastic achievement in itself and an investment in yourself and your future.’
