A New Direction in Healthcare: Dominic’s Pitman Training Journey

From Software and Operations to Healthcare Administration

I am currently studying the Diploma in Medical Administration with Pitman Training Laois as part of a planned career pivot from software and operations into healthcare administration.

Originally from Dublin, I now live with my family in Kildare where I love the balance of being close to busy towns while still having easy access to historical sites and beautiful countryside. My walking boots are always ready by the door for a quick escape outdoors.

Since beginning my Diploma in Medical Administration in April 2026, I’ve completed three modules – Medical Terminology, Medical Word Processing, and Socrates GP Software – achieving distinctions in all three. With the support of the Pitman Laois team, I’ve also developed a strong, tailored CV and have begun applying for roles within the healthcare sector as I work toward my career transition.
