Every app, website, and smart system starts with code, and companies are seeking skilled programmers to bring their ideas to life. Pitman Training’s Programming Fundamentals Diploma teaches you this universal language of technology: mastering variables, functions, and algorithms that form the foundation of every programming language.
In the beginning, students write their first programs using command-line interfaces for both Windows and Linux systems. Then comes the practical side: building actual web pages with HTML for structure and CSS for styling. Each module in this programme connects theory to practice, enabling you to both memorise concepts and apply them immediately. Then, the IT Specialist certification exams validate your new abilities with a web development qualification that employers recognise.
By completion, you’ll know programming languages, debug problems confidently, and have experience with practical projects that demonstrate real competence. This makes entry-level programming positions realistic next steps, not distant dreams.
Upon successful completion, you'll earn 150 CPD points, a professional credential that validates your skills to employers and demonstrates your commitment to ongoing learning.
Aims and Objectives This diploma will help anyone new to coding and programming learn how to write the instructions and processes that computer programs and websites follow using HTML and CSS. The course will also prepare you to take the IT Specialist (ITS) exams in order to gain certifications that will formally demonstrate your newly acquired skills.
