Nicola had always dreamt of being an Executive PA and was unhappy in her customer service job at a local call centre.

Galina came to the UK from Russia about eight years ago. While raising her family she decided to learn book-keeping, Sage and Microsoft Office skills.

I came to Pitman after my nursing career didn’t happen in the UK, I completed the Medical Secretary Diploma and am now very happy working for a local medical surgery, thanks to all at Pitman Training.

They had 80 applicants and a few days later they called and said I had a 2nd interview. I wasn't sure how I did, although I thought the interview went well. A few hours later they called me and offered me the job!

I have recently completed my Executive PA Diploma with Pitman Training. It took me 4 months to finish it and I enjoyed every moment of it. I managed to update my existing skills and learn many new ones, which made my performance at work more efficient and less time consuming.

Age 50 was just around the corner when I first went to Pitman to enquire about courses. I wanted to improve my work prospects and confidence; it began to show badly in job interviews.

Galina moved to Ipswich from the Ukraine in 1994. She was working as a carer but wanted to do something different and needed to develop her skills.

I had been working as an assistant in a pharmacy since leaving school and was conscious that time was passing by, but when you’re working full time, how do you break out?

Ade had always been ambitious and graduated with a BSc in Economics, so when he joined a TV station as a customer service agent in their call centre, he quickly made his way through the ranks to become a call centre manager.
