Course completed: Secretarial Diploma, Teeline, Access and seminars
Polly came to the UK to gain qualifications and start a new career. She started work as a waitress at Pret A Manger. Polly came to speak to Pitman Training in Southampton for advice on her career and training required to achieve her goal. Polly decided on the Secretarial Diploma along with further courses to develop her skills further i.e. Meetings and Minutes Seminar, Teeline Shorthand and Microsoft 2003 Access. We supported Polly throughout her training to teach her to touch type and increase her typing speeds to 70 wpm and with her Microsoft courses. Polly also decided to get help via Pitman Training Southampton's CV service, where her CV and covering letter obtained her an interview with Southampton University and has now secured a role thanks to her new qualifications and skills.
